At the same time, the project aims to improve the quality of observations, simplify the operation of the telescope and preserve its ability for standard types of observations, such as astrometry, star coverage, satellite observations, including military and space debris. The final goal of the modernization of the meteor observation system includes a complex configuration that will allow simultaneously obtaining a wide-angle and detailed image of meteors and thunder discharges, connecting to the Internet for remote management and storage of observational data, as well as creating a platform for innovative student research of atmospheric and space objects in in real time, including laboratory, bachelor’s and master’s works. popup.description2 Object of research – the process of comprehensive collection, accumulation, and analysis of observational data of celestial and aerial objects. Subject of research – methods and tools for hardware and software automation of telescope mechanism control, auto-guiding systems, and airspace monitoring. Goal of the stage – modernization of the telescope's control and pointing systems, development of an integrated control and power supply system, and software for automated management of telescope units. Research methods – structural-logical modeling of control systems, use of microcontrollers for wireless motor control, image analysis, and automatic monitoring methods. Results of the stage: Modernization of the AZT-8 telescope units has been completed: a position control system based on the ZVO ASI462MM camera has been installed, and software for identifying the field center using stars has been developed. Outdated motors were replaced with modern stepper drives. The integrated control system ORBIT was developed and tested; it combines the management of pointing, correction, focusing, clamping/unclamping, auto-guiding, CCD camera operation, storage of observational data, and remote access, ensuring coordinated operation of all telescope units and the observer's workstation. The implemented technical solutions and software modules were verified through real-time observations of celestial and aerial objects on the AZT-8 telescope and other instruments, enabling the refinement and unification of methods for processing and interpreting observational data. Successful tests of the airspace monitoring system in the visible and infrared ranges were conducted, and the first version of a database of meteor images and aerial patterns was formed. The obtained scientific results are confirmed by publications in leading international peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, as well as in professional Ukrainian journals, demonstrating the scientific validity.
