Identification of kinetic regularities and mechanisms of electrochemical processes with the participation of synthesized electrocatalysts in aqueous electrolytes containing dissolved urea. popup.description2 The object of the study is the electrode reactions that occur during the electrochemical synthesis of electrocatalytic materials and during the functioning of the obtained electrocatalysts in the processes of cathodic hydrogen evolution and compatible anodic processes. The purpose of the work is to establish the fundamental laws of the kinetics and mechanisms of the process of electrochemical oxidation of urea in electrolytes used for the electrochemical synthesis of "green" hydrogen using the proposed electrodeposited electrocatalysts. Identification of the influence of the conditions of electrochemical synthesis of electrocatalysts on their chemical composition, microstructure and electrocatalytic properties in the reaction of anodic oxidation of urea. Research methods are linear and cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperometry, titrimetry, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray spectral electron-probe microanalysis. The influence of the conditions of electrodeposition of coatings and electrochemical treatment of metal surfaces in DES, their qualitative and quantitative composition, microstructure, and surface morphology on the electrocatalytic properties in the reaction of anodic oxidation of urea was determined. Reaction schemes were obtained and mechanisms of electrocatalytic processes of electrochemical oxidation of urea with the participation of synthesized electrocatalysts were investigated.
