The purpose of the work is to investigate the possibility of using artificial intelligence methods and systems to solve problems of intelligent control of directional characteristics of antenna systems and modeling of the millimeter wave band channel. Research methods: analytical methods for studying the characteristics of antennas and radio channels, mathematical modeling methods, computer simulation methods, processing and analysis of the results obtained. It is proposed to improve the design of a modern adaptive antenna system by integrating an artificial intelligence unit into it. The principle of interaction between the artificial intelligence unit and the adaptive antenna system is shown in the diagram and described. A classification scheme for modern machine learning methods is considered and presented. An analysis of existing classes of machine learning methods is carried out to determine their suitability for solving problems of intelligent control of the directional characteristics of antenna systems and modeling of the millimeter wave radio channel.
