The method is based on the analysis of temperature distribution in the combustion face zone during underground gasification and on the dynamics of thermochemical transformations and heat transfer in the rock mass. It makes it possible to determine the spatio-temporal parameters of the combustion face advance and to predict the time of complete burnout of the coal pillar. A numerical model of rock mass heating has been developed, which allows the evaluation of the thermal impact of the gas generator on the roof and floor rocks and the prediction of changes in their physicomechanical properties. The energy characteristics of generator gas depending on the composition of the blowing mixture have been determined, and the influence of CO2 injection on the calorific value and stability of the gasification process has been established.
