A review of international and domestic solutions for mining ultra-thin coal seams was performed, the biomass resource potential was assessed, and promising approaches to intensifying gas generation were substantiated. Analytical models describing the influence of magnetic fields on thermochemical processes were developed, baseline data on biomass composition were compiled, and a material-and-heat balance model was established for different blowing regimes (air, oxygen, and steam–oxygen). In ANSYS Fluent, the CFD model was validated and relationships between producer-gas composition and LHV, the biomass share, and the type of blowing were determined; the time parameters for combining steam–oxygen and oxygen modes were defined. Suitability criteria for coal seams were proposed and ranking was performed using the PSI method; technological gasification schemes were developed, and the economic effect and social relevance of implementing the co-gasification technology for Ukraine’s coal regions were assessed.
