The subject of the study is the management mechanisms, methods, and technologies of business process reengineering that ensure increased efficiency of transport enterprises and their adaptation to changes in the external environment. The main scientific result of the research is the development of a comprehensive management mechanism for transport enterprises based on business process reengineering principles. This mechanism includes the classification of types of reengineering (current, preventive, adaptive) depending on the enterprise life cycle phases and crisis phenomena; the identification of key methods for implementing reengineering (simulation and object-oriented modeling, CASE technologies, horizontal process compression, outsourcing/outstaffing/insourcing/outplacement); the definition of success criteria for business process reengineering (customer orientation, technological advancement, competitive advantages, and maximum customer satisfaction); the construction of integrated information support for business process management based on enterprise intellectualization and the use of modern IT solutions; and the assessment of expected economic, social, and innovative effects from the implementation of reengineering.
