During this time, there have been changes in both the parameters of the environment of the Steppe zone of Ukraine and the range of dendroflora used to create artificial tree plantations. Climatic changes and the peculiarities of biological plasticity, primarily of the introduced fraction, dendroflora, have led to a crisis situation of modern green infrastructure in the South of the country. It is also necessary to take into account the change in the components of anthropogenic pressure, especially during military operations, because it was artificial forest plantations that suffered the most destructive impact, in some cases - complete destruction. Under such circumstances, it is necessary to develop a new concept for the restoration of the green infrastructure of the steppe zone of Ukraine. The proposed concept takes into account the historical experience of the introduction and adaptive potential of new dendroflora species in the conditions of the Steppe zone of Ukraine, and modern economic challenges, the need to overcome which plays a decisive role in the formation of new approaches to the effective exploitation of forest plantations in the South of the country. The main idea of ​​the research was to determine the "artificiality" of forest plantations in Southern Ukraine as the main prerequisite for the functioning of this complex of dendroflora of the region. Artificially created forest plantations with a complex of tree and shrub species that are not inherent in the geographical environment are vulnerable not only due to geographical and ecological inconsistency with growth conditions, but also due to the constant transformation that occurs in a new environment for them.
