Head Kyrylenko Oleksandr V., Доктор технічних наук Registration Date 12-03-2026 Organization Department of Targeted Training of the National Technical University of Ukraine Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute at the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description1 The aim of the work is to develop methods and means to increase the reliability and efficiency of the power and electromechanical system of Ukraine with a significant share of renewable energy sources. popup.description2 In the process of performing the work, the following main results were obtained: Mathematical models were developed that allow simulating the pricing processes in the day-ahead and balancing market segments, as well as calculating imbalances in accordance with the rules of the Ukrainian electricity market, retail market models were built that ensure the determination of the final cost of electricity for consumers; Scenarios of the occurrence and development of emergency events in the Integreted Power System of Ukraine under conditions of significant uncertainty regarding distributed generation sources were developed using certain assumptions and generalizations, and research was conducted using the developed models, as well as a methodology and control algorithm for a local electric power system that includes a photovoltaic system and several elements of the storage system; A virtual model of a pumped storage power plant system based on a dual-feed machine was developed, modeling was conducted that demonstrated the ability of the system to operate effectively with variable angular speed, while the system provides fast power regulation, which confirms the feasibility of its use to compensate for sudden changes in the network, and the ability to control its power factor; recommendations have been developed regarding the possibility of increasing the power of bidirectional converters as part of energy storage and transmission facilities (ESTF) up to 500 kW. The optimal algorithm for the operation of energy storage batteries as part of ESTF has been determined to ensure restrictions on the maximum discharge and charge power; a refined Simulink model of modern high-voltage polymer insulation of power cables and other energy facilities has been developed, the use of which allows predicting changes in the technical condition of the insulation of power cables and other energy facilities that use industrial frequency voltage and current.
