Purpose of research: development of a scientifically sound mechanism for creating niche bioinnovations based on scientific developments and their implementation in production in the business format of startups. Methods of scientific research: the methodology of research and development of the Institute is based on the works of classics of theories of industry markets, innovation economics, entrepreneurship, the basic provisions of which were continued in the concept of innovative provision of new creations and innovations on an entrepreneurial basis. The concept adheres to the statement that scientists create new knowledge and scientific developments (innovations) with innovative potential, and entrepreneurs cooperating with science transform scientific developments into commercial products (innovations) and ensure their transfer to the market on entrepreneurial terms (i.e., with the aim of making a profit). This gives a synergistic effect from the cooperation of science and business. The novelty of the conducted research: the development of theoretical and practical foundations of new areas of the knowledge economy is carried out using original methods and mechanisms developed by scientists of the Institute, united by the Concept of Innovative Bioeconomy: institutional case method of innovation-investment-integration development of ecosystems; business-prime method (startup launch of innovations); venture-factory method (investment in innovations); fast-plant method of rapid development of niche product production (technology "Just in time"). Developed: startup of small packaged seeds transfer under the trademark "Ukrainian Breeding", a startup platform was formed on the basis of the laboratory and marketing base of the Institute of Innovative Bioeconomy and the seed fund of breeding institutions of the NAAS.
