The concept of using modern mathematical models and methods of ABC analysis, XYZ analysis, ABC-XYZ analysis and stochastic inventory management model by Monte Carlo method in logistics systems is substantiated. A theoretical apparatus for generalizing the methods of ABC analysis, XYZ analysis, ABC-XYZ analysis and Monte Carlo is proposed, their essence is described, the advantages and disadvantages of each of them are considered. It is demonstrated and proven that these methods are a modern tool for analyzing such tasks as inventory management, selection of market segments and sales channels, etc. Existing approaches to using generalized ABC-XYZ analysis are analyzed and a generalized algorithm is created. Models of strategic inventory management logistics processes are obtained in the form of a system of functions with parametric and cost constraints. In the future, such developments can be adapted for critical infrastructure tasks, where continuity of supply is also an essential condition for effective functioning.
