The purpose of the work is to develop recommendations for ensuring the safety of mining operations during the operation of the gas extraction unit in the mining works of the Heroes of Space mine of the PSU «MINE MANAGEMENT named after Heroes of Space" PJSC "DFEK PAVLOGRADVUHILLYA". Research methods are generalization and analysis of results, methods of mathematical statistics, calculations using standard methods. As a result of the work, the mining characteristics of the excavation sections 1032 and 1010-M of the C10v layer of the Heroes of Space mine of the PSU «MINE MANAGEMENT named after Heroes of Space" PJSC "DFEK PAVLOGRADVUHILLYA", as well as projects for isolated methane removal from their extracted space, were analyzed. Recommendations have been developed to ensure gas safety during the operation of the VMVG-7M gas suction unit of the excavation sections 1032 and 1010-M of the S10v bed. The use of the 1-M type of reverse flow ventilation scheme for the excavation sections 1032 and 1010-M of the S10v bed has been approved. Projects for isolated methane removal from the mined space of the excavation sections 1032 and 1010-M of the S10v bed have been approved, provided that the recommendations for ensuring safety during the operation of the gas suction unit are implemented. As a result of the application of the developed recommendations, the safety of mining operations will be increased, which is of great socio-economic and environmental importance.
