The purpose of the work is to develop recommendations for the arrangement of "hunger zones" and determine technically achievable levels of air dust in the cleaning and preparatory works of the ALC «Belozersk» Mine. Research methods are generalization and analysis of results, methods of mathematical statistics, calculations using standard methods. As a result of the work, technical documentation was analyzed. An analysis of technical documentation on the development of the 8th southern lava of slope No. 1 of the ALC «Belozersk» Mine was performed. An assessment of the possibility of reducing or isolating the existing fire load in the 8th southern lava of slope No. 1 was performed, the temperature of the gas flow at the exit from the combustion zone and the parameters of the fire-fighting gap ("hunger zone") were determined. Recommendations have been developed for the arrangement of fire-fighting gaps ("hunger zones") in the mining works of the excavation section 8 of the southern slope No. 1 of the ALC «Belozersk» Mine. The calculation of the permissible level of dustiness by the factor of critical dust loads has been performed. Acts establishing technically achievable levels of dustiness in the mining works of the ALC «Belozersk» Mine have been approved. As a result of the application of the developed recommendations, dust-gas and fire safety during mining operations has been ensured, which is of great socio-economic and environmental importance.
