In particular, in the in vivo model system with transplanted Ehrlich carcinoma, L. rhamnosus GG bacteria contributed to the manifestation of low arginase activity, increased levels of NO and ROS production, which ensured the maintenance of a positive balance in the polarization of M1 macrophages and the increase in their cytotoxic activity, as a key link in nonspecific antitumor immunity. At the same time, B. animalis BB-12, while maintaining the level of NO production, contributed to a significant increase in the activity of arginase, IL-10 and a decrease in the level of TNF-α, which indicated an increase in the polarization of anti-inflammatory M2 macrophages and an increase in immunosuppression processes. The results obtained provide important information regarding the prospects for the use of probiotic products in the correction of the course of the tumor process and optimization of the effectiveness of patient therapy Product Description popup.authors Hetman Kateryna I.
