The purpose of the work is to develop recommendations for ensuring dust and gas safety during the operation of underground screw compressor units in the mining and geological conditions of the «Samarska» mine. Research methods are generalization and analysis of results, methods of mathematical statistics, calculations using standard methods. As a result of the work, the mining and geological and mining technical characteristics of the excavation sections of 1006 lava of the S10v layer and 447 lava of the S4 layer, as well as the dead-end workings of the «Samarska» mine of the PSU «Mine Management Dniprovske" PJSC "DFEK PAVLOGRADVUHILLYA" were analyzed. Recommendations have been developed to ensure dust and gas and fire safety during the operation of underground screw compressor units UKVS -7.5/7, UKVS 7/7.5 and UKVS 15/7 when installed in workings with an outgoing ventilation air stream. As a result of the application of the developed recommendations, the safety of mining operations will be increased, which is of great socio-economic and environmental importance.
