The optimal dosage form was chosen – lip balm. In collaboration with narcologists, the lip balm was created that has a transdermal effect and is a means of nicotine replacement therapy. Samples were made, their physicochemical properties were studied according to the requirements of the State Technical Standards and the State Pharmacopoeia, acute and subacute toxicity were established, research was started on volunteer patients, and it was shown that the sample with the maximum content of the active substance has an aversive effect. The main stages of pharmaceutical development of a therapeutic and hygienic balm based on C. ipecacuanha are presented, and a strategy for developing an anti-alcohol homeopathic remedy based on this plant is proposed. Other areas of research were: the use of biosurfactants and biopolymers as excipients for obtaining aqueous solutions of poorly soluble biologically active substances; antioxidant activities of medicinal plant raw materials, in particular grape meal; biotechnology of functional products: whey cheese - Ricotta and Kombucha.
