The research focused on the theoretical, methodological, and applied principles for shaping this component under such conditions. A comprehensive approach was applied, which included the analysis, standardization, and evaluation of the regulatory framework governing pharmaceutical activities, as well as the development of methods for researching and identifying risks and threats to the industry’s operations. The research complex included: development of classification features for systematization of risks associated with various types of economic activity; coordination of interpretation of terminology regarding risks that may accompany elements of the life cycle processes of pharmaceutical products; study of the system of pharmaceutical manufacturing enterprises, wholesale suppliers, and the retail segment of drugs; development of standards (good pharmaceutical practices) of industrial manufacturers and international standards; theoretical justification for the creation of a system of regulations for the proper hospital (economic) activities of pharmacy establishments, research into the impact on the environment and the accumulation of harmful factors, the problem of image creation and professional burnout of pharmacists. The need for further development of a number of gaps in the functioning of the pharmaceutical sector of the healthcare industry has been established, namely the creation of an import substitution program; development and analysis of the impact of the formation of the image of pharmacists on professional burnout; standardization of educational aspects and features of training future specialists for the pharmaceutical industry; development of the regulatory and legal framework for Ukraine's European integration.
