The goal: to determine the structure of peculiarities of aging of animals kept on calorie restricted diet (CRD) from age of 1.5 mo; of animals treated with Spirulina. Methods and equipment: light (photomicroscope "Docuval") and electron (JEM-100B) microscopy, morphometry and the method of complex morpho-functional evaluation (CMFE) of intensity of destructive (D) and adaptive (A) changes (in scores). Results and novelty: For the 1st time it was shown that - 1) the intensity of D in structure of the internal organs of old rats kept on CRD were lower compared with intact animals; 2) the geroprotective effect of Spirulina was due to its hepatoproctective influences. Effectiveness: the criteria were created for quantitatively evaluation of different approaches for the experimental life prolongation.
