The methods of those characteristics calculation were developed for the compounds of REM with elements of IVB subgroup of Periodic System. The obtained results were introduced into the data base of thermodynamical properties of alloys and compounds of d- and f-metals. With the aid thermodynamical modeling and physical-chemical analysis methods, the general criteria of interaction nature and phase transformation under a synthesis and preparation of high-resistivity materials of Ti-Si-O-C-N system as well as composite wear-resistant materials of low cost (from the titanium- magnesium production waste) and perspective magnetic mateials on the base of layer-by-layer TaS2 were established.
