Aim: to study the pathogenic role of stress in pregnancy for development of alcoholism in offspring; to determine the hormonal mechanisms of heightened alcohol requirement in offspring from stressed mothers. Results: the correlation between social stress during pregnancy and inclination to alcoholism in offspring has been found, the features of hormonal and neurohormonal status, which stipulate the hightened alcohol requirement has been defined; the method of premorbid diagnostics of inclination to alcoholism has been worked out.
