The aim is to work out an economic-and- mathematical model and estimate on its basis the prospects of pension provision and produce justified proposals on changes in the pension system. Research methods include systemic analysis, econometrical,analytical methods and method of expert assessment. The results are the elaboration of models for macroeconomic preconditions and process of transition from solidarity-based pension system to an accumulative one; analysis of interrelations between separate units and model indexes; realization of scenario-based calculations. Results of forecast indexes of pensions provision according to the new scheme were generalized; recommendations were justified on the ways to implement a pension reform in Ukraine.
