The purpose of the work is the study of the main stages of the formation and development of ancient and medieval state structures in the Crimea, the history and culture of nomad communities and Christian peoples of the peninsula and historic interpretations of the monuments, migration processes of the population of Taurica. As the result of the obtained data a monograph devoted to the problems of the ethnic history of the Early-Medieval Crimea was published; three more monographs are prepared for the publication: studies in the history and ethnography of Krymchaki; ethnic history reader - the Crimean Tatars; national schools in Crimea. 38 articles are published; 4 special c ourses on the early history of the South of Ukraine are prepared and read to the students.
