Aim of research: development of methodics for receiving platinum and palladium ingots of monetary purity; grounds, selection and purchase of equipment for express-analysis of metal and platinum group alloys. Technology of manufacture of crucible for induction melting on zirconium oxide base was developed in research-and-production enterprise "Rubin" in cooperation with Institute Vognetryviv (Kharkiv). Study of possibilities of different analysis methods, equipment, apparatus and complexes for creation of system of qualitative and quantitative analysis was carried out in research-and-production enterprise "Rubin". On the base of this study the following conclusion was drawn: purchase of analytical system "QuanX" (firm "TN Spectrace", USA), instrument "IRIS" (firm "Thermo Jarrel Ash", USA) are t he substantiation, selection and purchase of equipment for express-analysis of metalls and alloys of platinum group. System "QuanX" and standard samples of platinum, palladium, platinum-rhodium, platinum-iridium, platinum-rhodium-palladium alloys were bought.
