The aim of the work is: elaboration of the complete conception of the history of ukrainian-polish relations in Volyn region in the 20-40th years of the XX century on the basis of documents from the native and foreign archives, published materials and latest published works of the researchers. The main methods of the investigation are: concrete-historical; system and structural-functional the analysis; generalization of the materials on the basis of scientific compilation of the sources. The theme of the project became the basis of 24 publications, there are already published 5 volumes of the series of books " Ukraine-Poland: difficult questions". The results received during the investigation are being used by: the dministration of the president of Ukraine; the Verchovna Rada of Ukraine; the Ministry of foreign affairs of Ukraine; the Ministry of Education of Ukraine; th e Embassy of Ukraine in Poland; Regional State Administration; Higher Educational Establishments of the III and IV levels; secondary specialized institutions and secondary schools.
