The objective is to work up preliminary biological grounds to use of several brackish water reservoirs for mariculture development basing on complex comprehensive assessment of their ecosystems conditions. The research methods are field research of geomorphology, hydrology, hydrochemistry, hydrobiology, toxicological pollution of reservoirs. Obtained results are as follows: number of brackish water reservoirs (Shabolatsky and Molochny estuaries, ponds of SRB "Sivash" and others) used for the fish breeding at different levels were defined as well as volumes of commercial fish culture were determined.
