Aim of project: investigation of morphology and dynamics of light ions. Innovation: In 2000 upper boundary of sounding is risen essentially owing to significance improvemet the technical parameters of IS radar and owing to introduce the new data initial and secondary processing techniques. By the Kharkov incoherent scatter radar, which is the sole in the middle latitudes of east-european region for the first time the unique data about hydrogen and helium ions height distribution up to altitude about 1500 km are obtained. For the first time distribution of hydrogen ion concentration and dependence of transition height from oxygen ions to hydrogen ions from solar activity level and exosphere temperature, i.e. temporal conditions of neutral atmosphere are calculated. Efficiency of innovation: the characteristics of light ions behavior give important information for fundamental investigations of solar- terrestrial physics, ionosphere-magnetosphere coupling and for working out of self-consistent model of outer space factors and processes on the Earth coupling. The area (branch) of application: the fundamental investigations of solar-terrestrial connections and circumterrestrial environment; forvard-looking technologies of information, the devices of over-all automation, the systems of communication.
