Objectives: Estimation of the cytogenetic criteria informativity for radiation effects detection in oncological patients undergoing fractionated local irradiation at different steps of radiation therapy. Меthods: conventional cytogenetic analysis in peripheral blood lymphocyte cultures, statistics, light microscopes Biolam I, MBI-6. Results: Cytogenetic indices in patients with oncogynecological diseases before irradiation and at different steps of radiation therapy were studied. Before the radiation treatment the frequency of chromosome and chromatide type exchanges in patients was shown to be significantly incresed comparing with healthy donors, but fragment aberration yield in patients was the same as spontaneous one. The qualitative and quantitative changes of chromosome aberrations yield in patients during the distant radiation therapy of ovarian cancers, brachitherapy a nd combined radiation therapy of uteral cancers were described.
