Head Mamotyuk Ye.M., Registration Date 25-01-2001 Organization Grigor'ev Institut for Medical Radiology popup.description2 Subject of investigation: 180 rast, 15 cancer patients, pharmaceutical preparations. Objective: To improve the efficacy of antitumor therapy in cancer patients by defining individual prognosis and pharmacological correctives of radiation and cytostatic injuries in the connective tissue based on investigation of regulatory and metabolic mechanisms of its development. Methods: Clinical, morphological, hematological, ultra structura (ultramicro-scopic), biophysical, biochemical, statistical. Results: Basing on experimental model ( Geren?s carcinoma, cytotoxic models) and radiobiological models the of local and total exposure, peculiarities of pathological mechanisms of radiation and cytotoxic injuries in different kinds of connective tissue were determined. A new group of drugs Antral, Lioliv and Complimin were used for medical treatment of radiation-induced and cytotoxic-induced lesions in connective tissue. This groups of drugs possesses considerabe membranotrophic activity and capability to increas e radioresistence of connective tissue and homeostasis systems. Using experimental model radiomodification activity of Na-sucsinate was determined. Biophysical and biochemical tests were used for individual assessment of the efficacy of antitumor therapy in cancer patients. Filds of application: Medical radiology, oncology.
