To create theoretical models of non-magnetized plasma sources that are of cylindrical and planar geometry is the aim of the project. Theoretical and numerical simulations are the methods of the study. Theoretical models of non-magnetized plasma with cylindrical and planar geometry have been elaborated by the aid of numerical and analytical methods of solving of the set of the following equations: Maxwell equations, moments equations and wave power balance equation. Spatial distribution of the wave fields, density of the plasma sustained due to the eigen modes excitation and propagation in discharge chambers with the indicated geometries are examined. The possibility of creation of plasma sources that will be characterized by high efficiency and utilization of surface waves is proved.
