The aim of this project is studies of various complexation agents and optimization of complexation-ultrafiltration process for selective removal of heavy metals from water solution. Experimental studies on ultrafiltration removal of heavy metals from water solution with polyvinyl alcohol, acrylic acid and lignosulphonates have been carried out. An influence of conditions of membrane separation on an efficiency of ultrafiltration has been investigated. It was shown that an effective removal of zine, nickel and copper could be done with polymeric ligands, particular by means of high molecular weight lignosulphonates. Lignosulphonates were concluded as an optimal polymeric complexation agent. Optimal type of ultrafiltration membranes for removal of heavy metals by complexation-ultrafiltration was determined.
