In the groups of premature newborns (300), infants and toddlers (100) who had a high risk of hypoxic injuries diagnostic value of such biochemical markers as serum activity of lactate dehydrogenase and uric acid content as well as clinical data, peculiarities of postural reactions and results of brain ultrasonic investigation were proved. Free radical and some other mechanisms of hypoxic injuries were studied and their participation in the development of perinatal pathology of CNS, vegetative disturbances and neonatal lung diseases was revealed. The effect of perinatal hypoxia on the severity of neonatal lung injury was determined. Clinical effectiveness of elaborated complex approach to prophylaxis, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of infants with perinatal pathology including the prophylaxis and treatment of intra uterine and postnatal hypoxia with exogenous surfactant and antioxidants as well as with diagnosis and rehabilitation based on Vojta's methods was shown.
