Characteristics of the absorbers under research during their operation in a passenger train, longitudinal accelerations of cars in different cross sections of a train in transitional motion regimes as well as during switching operations (check impact tests) have been determined. Protective properties of the shock absorber ЕПУ-2 for a car affected by impacts have been determined. Performance of packings (absence of elastomer losses), strength of shock absorber parts and characteristics stability have been checked.
