The aim of investigation is to find the theoretical model of institutional processes under the conditions of market changes, as well as on the basis of these results to carry out the specific ways of the institutional changes investigating; transaction costs in terms of institutional transformation of the Ukrainian economy. The method of investigation is institutional analysis. The specific role of institutes is explained under the conditions of transitional phenomena in the economy. It is shown that disfuntional peculiarities of the above - mentioned conditions are explained by changing of three main blockes of institutional system - relict, middle and additional ones. Characteristicks of main regions of institutional growthin the economy of Ukraine is given. The transaction costs are the essential part of the forming institutional system of economy. This report covers the essence of the transaction costs and also connected with them institutional costs, of institutionalization of currency relations. The main ways of reduction of transaction costs of instituonalization of currency relations. The main ways of reduction of transaction costs in terms of institutional changes were found out.
