The goal of the research is the proof of the solvability of systems of boundary equations arising while representing solutions of the original problems of thermoelasticity by various combinations of retarded surface potentials of the single and double layers. The result of the study is the proof of the unique solvability of the systems of pseudodifferential boundary equations in the basic problems of dynamics of thermoelastic media. This establishes the base for constructing effective numerical methods for solution of the corresponding problems. The method of the study uses the modern methods of mathematical physics, functional analysis and variational calculus. THe research is of theoretical character.
