Head Demyshev Sergei Germanovich, Registration Date 26-06-2002 Organization Marine Hydrophysical Institute NAS of Ukraine popup.description2 On the basis of the numerical imitating experiment consequences of incoming of large amount of radioactive substances to the Danube waters were analyzed. It is shown that its consequences for the ecosystem of the northwestern shelf will be most pernicious. The upper 200 m layer of the whole water area will be subjected to significant pollution. Main incoming of the polluted waters to deep layers of the sea takes place along the western continental slope. Consequences of the accident will have their effect within several years. Possible consequences of outflow of radioactive substances from the container laying on the depth 2000 m in the central zones of the southern part of the sea are analyzed. Within two years the lower layer of the sea will get contaminated. By virtue of deep eastern transport the radioactive patch reaches the continental slope of the Caucasian coast and elevates to the upper layers of the sea. In 6 years the polluted waters achieve the depth 500 m. In 15 years the whole water areaof the Black Sea will be polluted. The received results demonstrate inadmissibility of a burial of toxic substances in the deep-water zone of the sea. Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
