Berezhnoy" popup.description2 The research object is dry highrefractory corundum mix. The work purpose is an improvement of the manufacture technology of dry corundum mix of CK brand. The research methods are chemical, petrographycal, physico-mechanical, thermomechanical. The research on an influence of electrofused corundum to be produced using remelting of alumina of the brand ГК-2 or Г-ОО on the properties of the dry corundum mix was carried out. The possibility to produce a dry corundum mix using electrofused corundum manufactured by means of remelting an alumina of the brand Г-ОО and chosen from a central part of the block was ascertained. An employment of optimum type of initial natural raw material allowed to increase the compression strength of samples from dry corundum mix after their hightemperature treatment by 30%. In OJSC "The Ukrainian research institute of refractories named after A.S.Berezhnoy" trial lots of a dry corundum mix of CK brand were produced which were transferred to the possession of metallurgical worksof Ukraine. This scientific work should be continued for the purpose of researching the possibility to use an electrofused corundum in finely milled component of the mix of alumina of the brand ГК-2 with a partial or full substitution.
