The purpose of the work - the search of possibilities for the manufacture of calcium zirconat light weigt material. The research methods are chemical, petrographycal, physicomecanical, thermogravimetric and thermophysical. The investigations of light weight material properties on the composition and parameters of technological process were studied. The prototypes of light weight material with apparent density 1,90-1,93 g/cm3 (total porosity 65-66%), compression strength 12,8-13,0 MPa and thermal conductivity up to 0,4 W/(m.K) at average temperature 650 C were produced.
