With the object of rational use of metal beta-diketonates as standard reference materials, components of metal-buffer systems, reagents for direct determination of many metals and evaluation of solution equilibria, the mixed constants of protonation, solubility, activity coefficients of dimedon anions and molecules have been determined. Approximated dependencies these quantities on ionic strength (I) are obtained, the thermodynamic protonation constant is estimated. It was shown experimentally that background electrolytes (sodium and potassium chloride and nitrate) considerably affect dimedon solubility, mixed protonation constants, activity coefficients of ions and molecules).
