The aim of studies is to investigate the rules of island distribution over sizes in metal films, condensed by the pair - liquid mechanism . The research methods. The films were obtained by vacuum condensation under the different conditions. The film structure was explored by transmission electron microscopy methods. The data on evolution of island distribution over sizes in metal films, condensed by the pair - liquid mechanism on an amorphous substrates in conditions partial unwetting. Within the framework of model of feed zones growth of particles on a substrate in conditions of condensation from a steam phase is considered. Function of island distribution over sizes is received with the account of liquid coalescence and connection of growth rate is island the different size with the width of a feed zone. Comparison of the established rules with the available experimental data and results of computer modelling is carried out and shown, that thedeveloped theoretical model adequately describes growth of real films.
