It was established that ; 1.The treatment of yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae by different factors provoking some or another form of stress results in substantial suppression of population growth, significant damage of cells and increase of amount of cells with fragmentated DNA. H2O2 exerted the most considerable influence on yeast vital functions. 2. Number of damaged cells, lipid peroxidation intensity and amount of cells with fragmented DNA were the most significant indiced among all studied parameters. 3. The obtained results support the standpoint about universal character of oxidative stress in mechanisms of action of environmental factors.
