Operation of pyramidal thickeners for coal sludges were studied. It was shown that those thickeners could satisfactory thicken coal fines. Characteristics for washability of floatation rejects (yield and ash) from sludge ponds were determined. These products are difficult to wash. Possibilities were studied in order to improve floatation of coal using the new reagent УР-410 having a high floatation activity. The proposed reagent can be used in practice with efficiency.
