Fundamental and applied investigations in the non-ferrous metals determination in samples with unknown composition, mine sewages, metals and alloys and other objects were carried out. The rapid electrothermal atomic absorption technique og gallium determination in the specially prepared coal slurry was worked out. As compared with standard technique the proposed one allows to reduce duration of analysis considerably. The technique was tested on different coal samples.
