Purpose of the work: to optimize medical exposure of the population with determining the approaches to creating of the system for provision of the quality of dosimetry in radiodiagnosis and radiotherapy. Methods: ionization and thermofluorescent dosimetry, statistical analysis of the dose load in the personnel. Results: The analysis of the questionnaires with the information about the number of x-ray studies performed in medical institutions of Ukraine was completed. The conditions of formation of the doses in the personnel at x-ray studies were investigated, the groups for obligatory control were determined. Tests for investigation of the physico-technical parameters of x-ray diagnosis and radiotherapy were worked out. The forms of measurement protocols were worked out. Individual doses of patient exposure were determined with thermofluorescent dosimeters and ODS-60 program. The forms of protocols for determining exposure doses in the patients at x-ray diagnostic procedures were worked out. Area of application: medicine, radiodiagnosis, radiotherapy, hospitals. Significance of the work: creation of the suggested system for dosimetry quality assurance in Ukraine will improve the quality of treatment of cancer patients and reduction of the dose load in patients and personnel during x-ray diagnostic procedures.
