Berezhnoy" popup.description2 The research object is the rammed mix from zirconium dioxide stabilized by yttria. The work purpose is the manufacture technology development from zirconium dioxide stabilized by yttria. The research methods and apparatus of the rammed mix are chemical, petrographycal, roentgenstructural. An influence of monoclinic ZrO2 increases their thermal shock resistance from 3 up to 4 heat cycles and the strength up to 42 MPa. The phaseforming in the range of temperatures 100 - 2400oC was studied in the samples of optimum composition. In accordance with results of the research the trial lot of the rammed mix from ZrO2 stabilized by Y2O3 using phosphate binder with higher refractoriness > 2450oC was produced. The samples produced from this mix are characterized by high properties: open porosity - 11,9 - 12,0 %, apparent density - 4,84 - 4,86 g/cm3, compression strength - 77 - 82 MPa, thermal shock resistance - 8 heat cycles. The draft of the technical instruction was elaborated. The scientific work was appliedin the OJSC "The Ukrainian research institute of refractories named after A.S.Berezhnoy" and this scientific work should be continued for the purpose of putting into production the manufacture technology of rammed mix from ZrO2 stabilized by Y2O3.
