The work purpose is the research of the quality influence of grinded surface on the bending strength of corundum ceramics samples and workind-out recommendation of the grinding rational conditions of products from corundum ceramics using diamond instrument as well as the manufacture of trial lots of intricately profiled products. Experimental research was carried out in laboratory conditions usinf modern methods and measuring apparatus potreograph - indicator of surface rougness, microscope МИМ -8, device for the determination of the bending strength. An influence of the cutting schedules and characteristics of the diamond whell during a plane grinding on the roughness of tread surface of samples frow ultradense corundum ceramics was ascertained experimentally and 17////// was shown that optimum acording the criteria productivy - roughness of the surface is an employment of diamond wheels to be equipped with diamonds of ДС-32 brand qiananess 125/100 on the binder М2-01 100 % concentration using cutting schedules: circumferential speed of the wheel is 30 m/sec, longitudinal feed is 6 m/min, cross feed 1 mm/stroke, cutting depth is 0,02 mm. As a result of testing of samples from ultrodense corundum ceramics with different toughness from 8 th up to 7 th class Rz- 4,5 m it was ascerained that the bending strength with increasing the roughness is decreased up to 4,4 % compared with samples grinded using diamond paste at the surface roughness 11 class dass Rz-0,4 m and above mentioned Rz-4,5 m the bending strength is increased by 18 - 23 % and in this way finishing of faces and ribs of samples makes possible to approach to the real bending strength of tested material. On the basis of carried out research the proycet of the technological instruction on a machanical treatment of samples from ultrodense corundum ceramics for the determination of the bending strength was worked out. The recommendations on the mechanical treatment of intricately profiled products using a diamond instrument were worked out and trial lots of corundum products for the manufacturing department " Kommunar", Zaporozhsky abrasive plant, АМКРИС-ЕЙч ЛТД, city Kharkov, Kharkovsky outfit design department, ТРИНИТИ city Moscov.
