Application of these recommendations will provide more active innovation process, higher competitiveness of Ukrainian goods . The necessity of realizing this aim called forth the determination and solution of the following main problems: study and precise definition of the essence and components of the innovation process; innovation activity efficiency and its analysis; determination of the product scientific-technical level and expediency of novel product manufacturing; basing organizational and economic measures to support business undertakings. The obtained results of the study can be used at the macro level when choosing priorities for the state innovation policy in the transformation period, formation of corresponding institutional structures, improvement of legislative and normative basisfor activizing the innovation work.
