Work purpose is to determine the construction principle and to recommend the content and values of design parameters of the distributor for uniform feed of a mixture to cathode grids on the basis of experimental simulation of gas flows by using the full-scale mock-up of the contactor. Research method is experimental air simulation of flows of a gas mixture by using the full-seale mock-up for an ammonia conversion contactor. Design parameters of the distributor in the form of the thin- wall grid with variable-section hydraulic resistance are choosen as a result of tests using the full-scale laboratory plant with the observance of similarity criteria.
