The lack of the information about influence of elevated temperature on resistance to abrasive wear of plain carbon alloys, which are a basis of the majority wear resistant materials and are frequently are used for details of machines working in conditions intensive abrasive wear, is felt especially sharply. The technique to conduct the researches on regularities of resistance of steels and alloys to abrasive wear at elevated temperature is developed. It consists in performing of two-body pin-on-drum abrasive wear tests of plain carbon alloys in conditions regulated ГОСТ 17367-71. At that the given temperature of a friction surface of samples is achieved at the expense of different sliding speed against abrasive.
