There have been selected and submitted for a state approval three new Morus alba L. varieties, and the five varieties of lilac, being incorporated in the list of plants in cultivation in Ukraine for the state of 2002. It was singled out 26 selection fodder plants forms with a high productivity and of a higher grade, winter- and drought-resistant, fit for growing in the multispecific agrophytocenoses; 14 Aster dumosus L. forms deserving in terms of breeding, 7 Chrysanthemum coreanum Desmoul forms and 5 forms of Phlox paniculata L.; rare and medicinal plants species, adjusted to the soulth-east of Ukraine's conditions and valuable as for their being ornamental, economically beneficial or for phytotherapy purposes, perspective as for their breeding, have been singled out.
