An employment possibility of corundum "Urginski abrasive works" to be delivered as finished fractions for the manufacture of rammed mullitecorundum mixes and products on their basis was evident. The utilization of above mentioned corundum allows to decrease (by~ 12%) and to increase the manufacture production at the expanse of exclusion a number of operations from a technological process. The composition and the manufacture technology of rammed mullitecorundum mix containing alumomagnesial spinel were worked out. An advisability of the use of rammed mixes in a composition ( both with a spinel addition and without its) of a complex boronphospate binder. Anemployment of above-mentioned binder allows to increase the guarantee period for the mix storage; it makes simple and easy to finish mix up to required degree of wetting; it ensures nonfreezing of mix during the winter. In the O.J.S.C."The Ukrainian research institute of refractories named after A.S.Berezhnoy" trial lots of rammed mullitecorundum mix of MMK-88 brand and vibratory cast products on its basis were produced which are turned over to the metallurdical and machinebuilding works of Ukraine and neighbouring foreign countries. The work should be continued with a trend of putting into production of rammed mullitecorundum mixes without an additive and with an additive of spinel on phosphate and boronphosphate binders as well as a subsequent perfection of rammed mixes compositions.
