The work purpose - the technology finalizing of periclase containing and mullite corundum crucibles for melting of hightemperature alloys and the manufacture of trial lots. The research methods - petrographical,chemical, physicomechanical, roentgenographic. The research on the technology finalizing of corundumpericlas crucibles was carried out. It was shown that the thermal shock resistance is increased by two and more times during an employment of fused corundum and periclase of a certain grain composition.The utilization of finely milled periclase (electrically fused magnesia) leads to the formation of spinel binder in a refractory and as to thermal stability given refractories are considerably inferior to corundumpericlase of optimum composition. An employment of sintered tabular corundum instead of fused in corundum refractories on a spinel binder leads to an increase of the thermal stability more than by 2 times using a soft schedule of the thermal shock resistance determination (950o C-water and insignificantly (1300o C-water) however given refractories are considerably inferior to corundumpericlase refractories concerning the thermal shock resistance. Carried out research of 10 corundum periclase crucibles with an open porosity 21,4-22,6% showed then better scababsorbtion compared with mullitecorundum refractories with open porosity 13,8-14,9% and an increase of output of suitable castings. Trial mullitecorundum crucibles with an open porosity 14,7; 20,5 and 24,1% produced and were sent for the testing to O.J.S.C "Motor Sich" for the determination of optimum necessary porosity of crucibles. Trial lots of mullitecorundum crucibles for O.J.S.C"Motor Sich" and ЗМКБ "Прогресс "were produced as well as corundumspenal crucibles for ДП НПКГ "Зоря -"Машпроект",mullitecorundum crucible with a bottom discharge for Iziumski instrument making plant. The work should be continued for the purpose of testing produced trial corundum crucibles and for the purpose of working out crucibles of other configurations as well as for the purpose of working out and testing periclase crucibles.
